About Us
The Urban Disciple is a husband-and-wife–owned studio built on craftsmanship, creativity, and a deep love for beautiful details.
We’re Beverly and Rick Hearon, the makers behind the brand.
Beverly is the creative force and hands on jewelry designer, dreaming up bold collections, unexpected combinations, and designs that walk the line between vintage glamour and modern edge. Rick is the creative force and hands-on craftsman behind all of our leather creations.
Together, we design and handcraft small-batch and one-of-a-kind statement jewelry and hand-stitched leather handbags and accessories. Every piece is made with intention, using high-quality materials, thoughtful construction, and an unwavering attention to detail. From buttery soft leather, extraordinary hardware and custom finishes, to vintage glam statement jewelry, no detail is too small and nothing is overlooked.
Our work is rooted in authenticity. We believe luxury should feel personal, not mass-produced. Each piece is designed to be worn, loved, and remembered, whether it becomes part of your everyday life or your signature finishing touch.
The Urban Disciple isn’t about trends for the sake of trends. It’s about confidence, individuality, and the art of expressing who you are through what you wear. Crafted in the Heartland, inspired by vintage elegance, and made for women who appreciate beauty with substance.
Welcome to our little world. We’re so glad you’re here!
Our Brand
Each and every one of my designs takes its shape through the borrowed beauty of these lost treasures and forgotten bits and pieces.I find enormous satisfaction in the process of placing seemingly unrelated items together in a way that makes each appear to have been made for the others. Each showcasing the others' beauty but never sacrificing it's own in doing so. Beauty, out of the ashes of abandonment.Made new, beautiful and once again desired from what was once old, broken and abandoned.A true testament to the story of God's grace over our lives, a story of redemption, rebirth and restoration A second chance, hope is not lost. Life found once again through His redeeming grace.
All things, yes, ALL things... from jewelry to hearts, relationships and even lives, though broken, can be restored and made whole and beautiful once again.
